Watching the snowmen melt is President Truman, who hoping for their quick disappearance from the Presidential race. General MacArthur is the melted snowman, and Republicans Robert Taft, Harold Stassen, and Thomas E. Dewey along with fellow Democrat Henry Wallace are going away, but to Truman's dislike, are still present.
